The Bren Ten uses a system based on the Browning short reciol system. The Bren Ten is locked and unlocked by a cam similar to the Browning High-Power versus the swinging link used in the M1911.

The front magazine floorplate was designed to be used as a tool to remove the front barrel bushing on the slide if needed. This is NOT needed for field stripping. The front barrel bushing is a left-handed thread. (LHT)

A loaded chamber indicator extends from the right side of the slide and shows a red dot when the Bren Ten is ready to fire.

The cross-bolt firing pin safety is located on the rear of the slide, right side, as a button.
The Bren Ten uses Power-Seal rifling.
The Selective magazine catch on the Bren Ten allows you to configure the pistol to let the magazine "drop free" or have some resistance so that the magazine is retained in the magwell for extraction.
